The Spirit and the Mouse

I played this because it popped up in my Epic library and I thought it sounded cute. I went in entirely unaware what the game would be about, I only had a vague sense that it'd be a puzzle game and probably very linear and chill.

So I was a little surprised when I noticed that the game was 100% aimed at children. Of course I knew it'd be appropriate for children but the gameplay really isn't one that adults can much enjoy too like I expected.

There is no challenge to be found, the dialogues are very straightforward and predictable, and characters are all (intentionally) one dimensional cartoon cutouts.

Its a cute game and it does a pretty decent job at introducing game mechanics to children but it really isn't aimed at adults. Gameplay can get repetitive fast. The only challenge I had was finding my way sometimes, but I am ridiculous with orientation and also impatient about it so this really could just be a me issue.

I do think the map could've been more detailed, listing some of the main buildings rather than just outlining them. It would've made it easier to navigate the game sometimes.

I also felt the game slightly overstayed its welcome in the end.

All in all its a really cute children's game where you're a little mouse helping villagers with your electric energy.

I really like this cozy and cute videogame.
I was searching something like that and I'm so glad I've tried The Spirit & The Mouse.
I recommend this for a chill, cozy experience
