The Silent Age

After having played the free chapters on mobile many years ago, I found the game again and decided to start and this time finish it. I played this together with my partner and we really enjoyed it.

It's a little point-and-click puzzle game about time travel. It's very easy to make progress and yet some scenes had us stooped for quite a while, going back and forth trying to figure out if we've missed something.

Unfortunately I hadn't added the game to my list immediately after playing it, so I can't write an in-depth review anymore. It's been too long.

I think I mostly enjoyed that our protagonist was just a janitor roped into a bigger plot by accident.

The game is really well done and I found myself actually wanting to uncover the plot and solve the mystery.

Absolutely love the concept and the story very simple stick art style. The music is commendable I wish the controls were better always need is a mouse to play this. But in spite of this the story was very powerful and I really enjoyed the game.

This game should become a movie! The story is from another universe!!

Like others, I played the free chapters in the past and decided to revisit it in 2024 thanks to it being given for free on epic games. It's great that they have done this.

Everything is just fine, nothing particularly interesting apart from a couple puzzles. The ending was a bit silly but makes sense. A very quick game but it did a better job of making me want to play better point-and-click puzzle games than make me happy to have played this one. I wish the time travel mechanic was used more interestingly in puzzles, though I'm happy with it's execution in the story even if it was predictable. The voice acting is pretty bad too, but I am glad they have it rather than just text because the writing is also quite bad.

Still good work for a small studio in the phone game era though, and you must give them credit for doing a lot with (I assume) little
