Crestoria narra le gesta di Kanata Hjuger, figlio del capo villaggio di Dalchia, in un mondo dove le persone vengono giudicate Sinners e marchiate in base al peccato (reale o presunto) compiuto. Nel tentativo di salvare Misella, un’orfana e sua più cara amica, Kanata viene giudicato un peccatore e costretto alla fuga. Si unirà all’ambiguo Vicious e ad altri iconici personaggi, alla ricerca della verità dietro ciò che si cela nel venir giudicati Peccatori.
Sebbene il titolo avesse una componente gacha alla base che permetteva di avere nel team personaggi dei precedenti Tales of, Crestoria vantava una storia tutta nuova ed interessante con personaggi originali e ben caratterizzati.
Il sistema di progressione era basato su battaglie a turni con modelli 3D dei personaggi e pezzi di storia raccontata mediante le iconiche skit dei Tales of. Il titolo è attualmente riproposto in formato manga e la pubblicazione è in corso in Giappone.
