Summary
A special demo released originally only via codes previous the release of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. It was the only way to obtain some special items in the full game such as megaevolution stones. The demo had an original story that differs from the full games' one.
The player helps the Hoenn region Champion to complete various tasks such as defeating Team Idro and Team Magma or catching rare Pokémon.

It was a cool way to make you hyped up for the official release, but I find it funny that Game Freak left a great portion of the game in the demo files and so most of the game content leaked online the next day this demo was released.
