Summary

Paper Mario, a turn-based JRPG entry in the Mario franchise with a paper-based aesthetic and platforming elements, sees the titular character working his way through the Mushroom Kingdom's diverse locales and biomes, meeting its inhabitants, fighthing unruly enemies and recruiting an array of companions in order to once again save Princess Peach from the clutches of the evil Koopa King Bowser.

A fun Mario RPG that isn't too deep or complex, but can still be challenging at times. Can get a bit repetitive due to it's simpleness in both gameplay and story. Solid turn based RPG for newbies to the genre. Artstyle is timeless and stand out very well.

fun beginner rpg. thought I was getting bored of it as it WAS seeming to be getting a little repetitive, but it ended before that really ruined my experience with the game. Full of the charm these old rpgs seem to always be packed with, paper mario 64 was a neat little start to the paper mario series - that from what I've heard, will only go downhill after TTYD lol. However, I'll remain unbiased when I play those games. Anyways yeah, fun RPG with unique battle mechanics, artstyle and it left me with a wonderous feeling of nostalgia for something I've never played before! I guess it's just nostalgia for the mario series in general. Yeah it did seem like a celebration of mario actually, with all the returning enemies and music, whilst still having fun new characters and things. gooooood shit

Great beginner RPG. Hardly any grinding, you can fly right thru the story. Great time.

Honestly, this game still holds.
Even though it over 20 years old, it still looks good and charming.
Some mechanics are not that convenient, but hey, that's how they wanted the game to be.
I didn't enjoy the fact that your sidekick can't use items, but each sidekick has a unique move and special moves which great.
You can level up but your power has a low roof, but can still play offense.

Highly recommended to play.

It's available with Nintendo online membership.
