Summary

Nobody Saves the World is an action role-playing game played from a top-down perspective. The game can be played solo or in a cooperative multiplayer mode. In the game, the player controls a blank-state character named Nobody, who is equipped with a wand.

Spoiler warning

Nobody Saves the World is a great action RPG slasher that is fun to play through from start to finish.

In the game you are a little white chap called nobody who gets a wand that allows him to shapeshift and he uses this power to try and save the world from the calamity. Each and every one of the transformations feel unique and all feel like they have their own role to fulfill. Some of my personal favourite classes are the dragon, the rouge, the guard and the monk.

Most of the game is grinding to complete challenges to level up your class but this game manages to make grinding fun and not feel like grinding in the slightest. The best part about the game is easily the dungeons as that’s where the combat and puzzles get to truly shine.

The game also contains some great characters such as Randy the Rad, Marty Joe, and the King that’s really cool. The story is quite simple but has a nice twist at the end of the player having lost their memory and being the great wizard that they were looking for throughout the game.

The game was very fun to play through with a friend instead of on my own. Although I have been praising the game so far the one thing I disliked was the final boss. It felt very underwhelming and significantly easier that most other bosses in the game and felt like it should have had another phase when it died. If the final boss had one more phase and felt a bit less underwhelming I would have given the game a 9/10 but because of this I dropped it to an 8. The game is also relatively short taking around 15 to 25 hours to complete

Overall nobody saves the world is a great game with a few flaws but has a fun gameplay loop and a good story.

8.4/10

A fun dungeon crawler with a shapeshifting gimmick. Core of the game is to mix and match forms to make builds that would best suit the dungeon you're tackling.
Lots of potential to be one of the greats however it falls short by starting to feel repetitive around the halfway mark due to the fact that dungeons are combat focused only. Would have greatly benefited by adding puzzles or something to spruce up the dungeons from just being room after room of combat.

This games works so well as a couch co-op. You have to stick with the game for a bit to unlock the features that make it really fun, but it's worth it. There is a bit of a puzzle element when deciding which combination of skills to use for dungeons and leveling up didn't feel like a drag.

Wow this shatters my expectations. As a free PS-Game I had a cheap underselling game in mind. As I got to playing I was mesmerised by the charm of this game. Play Styles vary between (I think) about 15 COMPLETLY UNIQUE characters.
My favourite indie game.

Simple and addictive gameplay. Trying the many different combos from your forms never got old.
The gameplay can be approach tactical or brute-force. Many dungeons are optional and not required to roll credits.
The art style is pretty nice and slick, while the story is not that remarkable or unique.
