Summary

In Ninja Gaiden Black you can reprise the role of Ryu Hayabusa, ninja extraordinaire. This sequel to Ninja Gaiden supplies a new story and new missions, plus two more difficulty settings and cinematic cut scenes that provide background about the protagonist. Ninja Gaiden Black also incorporates the additional content from Hurricane Packs 1 and 2 and includes unlockable content such as the original arcade version of Ninja Gaiden.

one of the best combat systems ever created in a video game,

the movement is fast and agile with a dozen of moves and a healthy amount of weapons and abilities and while the fights are fast and can look chaotic but it's far from it, the combat require positioning and high awareness of the enemies moves(and yours), the area around you and pretty high reflexes but with a patient approach so you can't just button mash your way out or you gonna get your as* handed to you real quick,

the look is great especially for it's time but also the designs is what caught my eye from ryu himself to the bosses, monsters and maps all are unique some times obscure (in the best ways) but most importantly awesome

and talking about bosses, this game could've been just a boss rush type game and I would still wouldn't mind it that's how good they are, like i said they look awesome they play awesome and they are only interested in breaking you in half

the story is nice a bit of a classic revenge story but the events and set make i more interesting it can be silly at time and also serious just fun to watch and I have to point out how diverse the maps are you go all over the place villages , accent citys, caves and even under water, keros the look fresh and the maps them self are interconnected and the game uses that to make explore and look for secrets and objects platforming around, a nice pace breaker between the combat and sometimes can even take a bit of time which I don't mind if not for one thing

the only thing/things that push this game back for me is the camera controller and no lock on in fighting which is huge I don't want to go in depth about it but the camera can be sometimes miss your jumps and platforming and it even effect the fight as at time you get hit unexpectedly and the lock on is pretty self explained it can get frantic and I really think a better camera controller and a lock on can take this game far away,

but you get kinda use to it and the game present so much on other ends that you just try to ignore some if it problems so despite the hurdles I had a great time with the game

Top 3 pure action games for sure. Some of the best combat ever and some insanely difficult yet rewarding gameplay. A must play for any hack n slash enjoyer, peak fiction.
Also has Rachel and Ayane in it.

The combat is perfect and flashy, the first level's theme and vibe is just my type, so it was a shame that they didn't stick with it, or else this would've been a 10 for me.
