Está vez si hay una clara evolución con respecto a la entrega pasada, de hecho es curioso que muchas de las cosas implementados en esta edición se usaron de base para los siguientes 10 juegos de la franquicia (al menos considerando las versiones de PSP). Estás incluyen un gameplay más suave y trabajado, mejores animaciones e incluso el modelado de los jugadores ya más parecidos a su contraparte real. No es la fórmula perfeccionada, pero un claro paso a ese camino.
