It's meh. In concept, yeah it's pretty cool, and something Elite Dangerous has needed for a long time, but in practice, there's just not all that much content to explore. The only times you really *need* to get out of your ship are for exobiology - which you can just pop out, take a sample, and pop back in - for missions that require it, and for if you happen to need apex interstellar transport.
