EA Sports College Football 25

Football fans are so starved of a good football game that they think a steaming pile of shit is a significant improvement over a hot steaming pile of shit. This is just madden again with the same tired gameplay. “New” features aren’t actually new and have been in previous games and features you’d expect to be in the game have been removed to be added at a later date. The gameplay is ever so slightly better than madden mainly because it leans more into being an arcade game than a simulation football game. Scouting players is insanely boring and repetitive. The stadium noise feature is just annoying. The new kicking mechanics make kicking field goals impossible past the 30 yard line. The game is still animation based which is slightly better but still certain things are so obviously pre scripted that it makes you lose all sense of immersion. All this game is is madden without the claim that it’s a simulation game. NFL please let other company’s make football games instead of EA. I’ll sacrifice my first born if you do.

Had the last one since I was in middle school, now I am in college. Can say this is one of the best football simulation games I’ve ever played. Definitely was worth the wait.

Lives up to the hype, I love seeing EA sports bringing back games that we actually need, way better than madden 24. I love destroying Jalen Milroe with some of the worst teams, but seriously you should try this game out, maybe even have a tournament with your friends

Generally great return to CFB for EA, although the small niggles become apparent and add up to more than the sum of their parts the more you play. Having fun with it still, and will probably play clean through to the next one.

Amazing game to have after a decade of not getting one. Definitely can’t wait to see what they add next year.

Dynasty mode is incredible. The gameplay is okay; I enjoy how running the ball feels compared to previous iterations. On defense you feel like an npc though. Otherwise, the extras make the game worth it.
