Dirt is for all those who want a rally racing game .

The more you play , the more you see the problems with this game , having not many variations when it comes to online racing events and putting you as a console player against people playing on pc with racing sims .

Also when it comes to leaderboards, the game does not differenciates between someone racing with a bone stock car against people racing with full and maximized upgraded cars , and this is coming from someone that placed always between top 500 to top 100 world raking when it came to leaderboards.

I love this, bought the GOTY Edition to have all the DLCs and even got the Platinum trophy.

The handling model is hard to master but so satisfying once you do and you're flying through the tight stages. I played with a controller so with a wheel it must be even better.
It's on another league compared to all the WRC games (even EA WRC 24) in handling, graphics, vfx, sounds, it came out in 2018, and doesnt even have a PS5 upgrade.

Unfortunately while the driving itself (so the core of the experience) is great, the progression and game modes arent that good. What changes from one championship to the next in Career mode is the difficulty level, which is turned up by 20% everytime. Which means that until 60% its always easy, then it gets hard, then impossible. You can race with the cathegory of cars you want. I would have preferred to be able to choose my difficulty, and for the progression to be in the car cathegories you use (first championship slowest one, second slightly faster, at the end the fastest). Even the other rally and rallycross game modes dont really offer anything different or unique or any replayability, they're just excuses to race.
One downside compared to the WRC games is that the stages aren't as unique or creative as in those games. But the handling model more than makes up for it.
