Summary

Close to the Sun is a story-driven horror game that takes place at the turn of the 20th century on a mysterious ship complex created by Nikola Tesla for the sake of knowledge. In this alternative version of history, his scientific breakthroughs have already had a major impact on the world. You’re a young journalist looking for your sister and, as you approach this enormous and glorious complex for the first time, you quickly realize that something there has gone horribly wrong..."

The story is predictable. Have some interesting things but doesn't explain why it's that happening. Clunky gameplay. The jump button is unnecessary.

Too dark could barely see. Twists super predictable (A BioShock looking game with a kindly accented man on a radio guiding you the whole game....hrmmm.....wonder where this is going) Ending super unsatisfying. Not even just a sequel bait, just doesn't do an interesting plot point it spends the whole game setting up.

Decent game that gave off bioshock vibes. The story was okay but alittle confusing and the ending was lacking but worth a play through.

The setting had a huge unused Potential. Felt a little rushed towards the end.

Atmospheric, good-looking and sounding walking sim. Heavily inspired by Bioshock; art-deco style, setting, light/shadow play - only combat is missing. Puzzles could be more complex and 'escaping sequences' better executed. The story is captivating, the atmosphere thick, but not scary, the views disturbing and the voice acting is nicely adapted to the situation. Body awareness is present, which I always appreciate, unfortunately, no hand animations while interacting with surroundings.
