Garbage. This game is proof that Ubisoft will make the same game every time, just with different graphics and location. This game is the same as every other Ubisoft game in the last 10 years. Despite being "pretty" it's absolutely soulless and devoid of anything actually fun. Don't even buy it on a sale. This guys have no idea how to make games anymore.

The game is gorgeous in terms of graphics, but the gameplay is decent. Similar to farcry and the best thing in the game is riding an Ikran.
Unfortunate the story is forgettable due to the same writing of their games.
Fight with the rebels, help them, bring them together, strengthen their lands and then fight against the enemy together. The music is good but repetitive most of the time and the world is big with repetitive side activities and boring side quests.

The game is expensive and the story is short because there are DLCs coming up in 2024.
I recommend buying the game with someone or wait for sale until all DLCs are released.

I mostly watched my girlfriend play this - I only helped out with the harder combat sections. Even though she's playing on the lowest difficulty, the game is far from easy. The enemies are ruthless, relentless and many. This was fun for me but stressful for her. Ubisoft had a chance with the Avatar IP to appeal to a much wider audience of people who don't play video games often or at all (like my partner) but for some reason they made the game almost inaccessibly hard for non-gamers. Eventually she did overcome the difficulty hump by grinding for dozens of hours until she was overpowered enough to play on her own, but if I wasn't available to help early on she wouldn't have played for a dozen minutes. Please add a baby mode, Ubisoft.

My girlfriend loved nearly everything else about the game; it is visually stunning (very faithful to the movies in that sense), the flora and fauna were fun to gather and hunt (and cook), there is plenty of cool gear to craft and collect, and riding the giant bird thing was just as fun for her as it was for me in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and Horizon Forbidden West. She has been absolutely obsessed with it and cannot wait for the DLC to come out. She gives it a 10/10.
