Yuppie Psycho

Short story game that surprisingly didn't take a lot of time to complete (with all the endings). Although I sometimes had to check what to do next because I got lost but overall it's really easy and fun to play

Art in this game is amazing - animations are incredible and characters, map, overall design is really well made. Story, enemy fights and puzzles also very very good, totally would recommend !!!

While I loke the absurd humor and horror in this game and consider the concept unique, I personally found the gameplay ver clunky and boring. I often found the solution to certain areas nonsensical und bo fun at all.

The overarching story is fine but this games strong suit is definitely its small scale and indirect humor. The tone and setting is also quite fun. It simply lacking the good gameplay and overall pacing in execution to be truely enjoyable. Also many horror parts turned out to be disappointing and I was hoping for more depth. Its playable but not that memorable IMO. Also while the pixel style defenitly helped sell certain parts and give the game more charm, it also took away from the tension because of lack in quality in execution. I just lost all drive to finish it in the end because I just stopped caring about the outcome and the humor got less and less

Yuppie Psycho es una aventura gráfica de terror que me ha dejado sin palabras.

Tiene una historia increíble, obligándote a seguir jugando para descubrir nuevos giros argumentales, los cuales te van a dejar con la boca abierta. Además, el terror está muy bien implementado porque no recurre a los típicos screamer baratos, sino que crea entornos y conversaciones que te mantendrán en tensión en todo momento.

El apartado artístico también es magnífico, ya que ofrece una gran banda sonora y unos gráficos pixel art algo simples durante el juego; pero más que pulidos a lo largo de las cinemáticas.

En cuanto a la jugabilidad, deberás avanzar a través de puzles sencillos pero algo desafiantes, ya que con miedo e incomodidad es más difícil pensar.

En definitiva, lo considero una joya oculta y lo recomiendo a todo el mundo. Otra muestra de que los estudios españoles también saben crear obras de grandísima calidad.

¿Se puede crear terror del bueno en un juego que recurre al pixel art en visión isométrica? Vaya que si se puede. Al menos es lo que consigue Yuppie Psycho. Una aventura gráfica desarrollada por un estudio español y que presenta una cruda sátira sobre el entorno laboral de las grandes empresas. Encajando tensión y momentos cómicos desternillantes. Aprovechando efectos de sonido para agudizar los momentos delicados.
Correcto hilo argumental que te lleva con fluidez a través de las diferentes escenas intercaladas por puzzles y algunos bosses. En general no son muy difíciles y la única manera de perderse un poco es debido a la ingente cantidad de secretos (logros), al menos en la Executive Edition, cuyo descubrimiento o no es el causante de poder descubrir alguno de su innumerables finales. Esto es otro de las claves que hace especial este juego ya que son muy distintos entre sí.
El juego es bastante redondo en lo que propone. No obstante, ha habido algún bug que ha lastrado mi experiencia. Por otra parte, creo que hay picos de dificultad que parecen ser fruto de no pulir el juego más que de ser algo premeditado.
En definitiva, si te gustan las aventuras gráficas, ésta es una muy recomendable. Trepas, nepotismo, explotación laboral, toxicidad entre compañeros…te vas a hartar de ver eso.
