Summary

Tetris is a puzzle video game for the Game Boy released in 1989. It is a portable version of Alexey Pajitnov's original Tetris and it was bundled in the North American and European releases of the Game Boy itself. It was the first game compatible with the Game Link Cable, a pack-in accessory that allowed two Game Boys to link together for multiplayer purposes.

Incredibly addictive game, I just recently found out that a kid around the same age as me beat Tetris, which is wild because I’m their same age and I’m doing some weird crap like tryna make stupid movements with my tongue or belly flopping on the most shallow water possible. I love this game though, people usually say it’s for older people like maybe my dad but I still love it

There is little to say about this game. It's one of the simplest games to play, but hooks you with its gameplay. It is the OG game for the Gameboy. I played this game for countless hours.

It is a near perfect game. If there is anybody that has never played a game of Tetris, where in the hell have you been?

Is this a perfect video game? Is there even such a thing? If yes, can such a bold claim ever be justified?...

In my opinion Tetris embodies the phrase "easy to learn, difficult to master" more than any other game (Chess being a close second.)
Minimilist game design where the objective is clear, the means is given and the increasing challenge of having a faster reaction time is set. Tetris is in equal parts a simple, challenging, engaging and fun experience. Elements we desire in every game we play.

Is it a "perfect game"? It's pretty darn close if you ask me.

Can’t say much about Tetris that hasn’t already been said. Simple but amazing puzzle game that has stood the test of time.
