Summary

A port of Super Mario Sunshine included in Super Mario 3D All-Stars, featuring updated textures and high-definition, widescreen visuals. Time to hit the beach! Mario travels to the beautiful Isle Delfino for a tropical vacation with his friends, but instead finds himself teaming up with trusty F.L.U.D.D. to uncover a shadowy plot and the master puppeteer behind it all. His newfound friend also allows Mario to traverse worlds in all sorts of unique ways thanks to its wonderful water pump!

A pretty underrated Mario game. I have 2 negative points, the controls are spongy, which can be very annoying at some points in the game & there are too many blue coins (I would advise everyone to get the blue coins with a guide, as there are different blue coins in each mission.) The positive things are definitely the new abilities that you get from Yoshi and the FLUDD, among others, the many different missions per course, the variety in each course & that there are even a few missions on Piazza Delfino, the hub of the game. Bowser Jr. as Mario Morgana is also pretty cool and the final boss fight wasn't particularly spectacular, but you have to be careful not to glitch down. The pinball level is definitely my nightmare when I think of Sunshine, many people find the mission with Yoshi and the poison water the worst, but for me it's definitely the pinball. I like the game a lot, but I think Super Mario 64 is even better.

Not finished, gets me too nervous to do it. Such a jump in difficulty compared to 64 and Galaxy, makes me stressed 😩

Clunky mechanics and average level design put a mark against what should be considered good controls and well designed mechanics. Whilst initially being hesitant to adapt to the sharp controls and janky F.L.U.D.D controls, I quickly came to find joy in the fluid movement and control of Mario, however this game feels overshadowed by rushed design and average objectives. Overall a much more frustrating experience at times than enjoyable.

Idk, feels almost like a sonic game to me 🤢🤢🤢

Better than 64 I guess? But weird and slippery, with a lot of jank
