Base game: 6/10 but with a few selective dlc's it becomes a 7/10

I remember enjoying this the first time I played it but I've tried to pick it up since and holy shit is this thing complicated. You shouldn't have to read the manual every time you play something, unless you enjoy that, but I'm a busy man so this one's not gonna get played much again

Very complex and strategic. mid-late game is very overwhelming and kind of boring. Lots of stuff going on, but it is hard to focus, especially in such a large and detailed map. Combat was underwhelming, preperation for combat was really awesome, but the impact of the decisions made are hard to measure and see. Just felt like greater fleet power wins.

it takes a considerable investment to understand at the beginning, but will make sense soon enough
