A very different game,for fromsoftware,but a welcome one,the combat is amazing it plays well,sound well and is purely based on skill,the stealth is a weak point but there's not too much of it.
The art design is possibly fromsoftwares best,beautifully realised environments full of colour and life.The story of severing immortality and genichiro trying to save ashinais genuinely compelling despite its simplicity.
My only and major gripe is the difficulty,this game is brutal,beating it requires complete mastery,the final boss is ridiculously hard 4 phases long with a complex moveset,which makes replaying it unlikely.
