Summary

A new legend begins as you step into the steel toe boots of Goro Majima, a man who has lost his memory and reinvents himself as a pirate on the open sea. Embark on an over-the-top, modern-day pirate adventure with an ex-yakuza, now pirate captain and his crew as they engage in exhilarating combat on land and sea in the hunt for lost memories and a legendary treasure.

nigga this shit slap, 1000% better than shitshow and boner, my review score maybe bias since i am a hardcore fan of yakuza series, for casual it might be between 6 and 7.

Another hit from RGG.
This one takes the Pirate theme and RUNS with it. The whole story is this fun little treasure hunt that has all the swashbuckling goodness you'd want. The combat system is possibly my favorite of the RGG beat'em ups thus far, with a focus on fighting much larger waves of enemies that feel so satisfying to slash through with the new Sea Dog style.

Much of the mini games were albeit disappointingly, recycled from Infinite Wealth, however the side quests were some of the series' funniest and the pirate battles were so much fun. I'll definitely be coming back to the game every now and then just to fight alongside my wacky crew that I built up throughout my playthrough.

Due to a fairly uninteresting cast of characters though I wasn't very invested for most of the story until the last chapter, but it results in a smaller storyline that felt far more focused compared to Infinite Wealth's. Speaking of, Pirate Yakuza works as a great companion to Infinite Wealth's storyline, offering more depth and lore to Hawaii's underworld.

Overall, it's got its flaws and I don't think it's the best of the franchise, but fortunately an RGG game is always at the very least, a solid offering, and Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is no different.

It may be short but it cured the itch for a pirate themed game

Those Amons slaps in every game, gives me nostalgia defeating them everytime they appear.
I’m glad I finished all the challenges in the Coliseum. It worth the time.
