Summary

Perhaps one of the best tactical games ever made. With as much respect to the original as possible. An improvement even on Blades of the Shogun which was in and of itself a masterpiece.

Desperados III does a great job keeping things fresh throughout the 20-30 hour playthrough. You’ll be drip fed new team members and locations from desert wastelands, to dimly lit towns, to murky green swamps. If you’re a fan of strategy games, you really should give this one a try. Yes, sometimes the try, die, retry system can grind your gears, but more often than not, you’ll be enjoying the myriad scenarios in which you stealth kill your way to another victory.

Desperados 3'ün yapımcısı Mimimi Games, tıpkı Larian Studios'un CRPG türünü modernize edip diriltmesi gibi, Commandos türünü modernize edip bu türü diriltmesiyle oyuncuların takdirini kazanmış bir firma haline gelmiştir. Desperados 3, uzun saatler boyunca keyifli oynanışı, strateji ile ilerleyerek oyuncunun reflekslerini ve strateji öğelerini geliştirmesine olanak sağlayan, kullanıcı dostu bir arayüz tasarımına sahip harika bir oyun olduğunu söyleyebilirim. Oyunun en büyük eksiği ise fazla uzun olması. Bir vakit sonra mekanikler sürekli tekrar etmeye başlıyor fakat bu oyunun gözardı edilebilecek sorunlarından bir tanesi. Uzun lafın kısası Commandos türünü seven veya strateji yapmayı seven insanların bayılacağı bir oyun olmuş.
