First to the gameplay. You drive around delivering stuff in a very arcade style. The camera is fixed on top (I mean you can chose from two angles but other than that it IS fixed and it's always on top) which honestly was a mess for me especially at the begining. Sometimes the camera indeed can get quite frustrating but I also had to admit that it fits to this game way better than third or first person pov (also if you're struggling chose a different setting for driving in menu...there are two and I seriously wanted to quit after 5 missions before I switched to classic and my brain was finally able to drive left/right as I wanted...well, at least on most occasions 😅). The missions are fast and fun and what honestly surprised me a lot is that they're all unique...I seriously don't remember two similar missions so huge kudos to devs for that. Also this game has a ton of collectibles so if this is what your heart desires (I know mine does) you'll be very happy. You can also upgrade your truck...a shame that you can have only one upgrade active at the time...
Story time. The story in this game takes many twists and turns and honestly it made me extremely interested in the game. I would say it was the main reason I stuck with the game through. It starts really positively and turns a bit darker with each chapter and I love that. Also I love the huge nod at the end for we deliver at all costs 2...devs were not subtle at all 🤣
Special mention goes to the music because oh myyyyy that was so good!!! I don't listen to the music from that era in my free time for fun but it just was amazing and made me hum along. It fits perfectly with the game and vibes.
Now to my problems with the game. First one is the (in my eyes) only boss fight. It just broke the pace of delivering stuff and it was just straight on annoying for me. I needed to take a breather 2 times just to see the chase through....
Second problem as I mentioned was the occasionally frustrating camera angles...
And third is with a certain story decision. Without spoiling anything: you go great lengths to save someone only to have them mentioned only two times in the rest of the game and never actually meet them again...that one was a shame...
All in all I recommend this game. It was nice and chill (except for the boss fight 😑) and I really enjoyed my time with it ^^
