American Truck Simulator (ATS) offers an immersive experience that is enough to fulfill my obsession with road trips across the U.S. of A., with detailed gameplay, a lot of different cargo to haul, beautiful scenery and a little bit of management sprinkled here and there. The game excels in customization though, allowing players to personalize trucks extensively. I love driving my Kenworth listening to country music (in Spotify, since the in-game radio doesn't seem to work on Mac) and planning my trips to be as realistic as can be. I only wish the game world would be more alive, with people on the streets - it all seems too empty. Despite minor limitations, ATS offers a satisfying and nostalgic journey for fans of truck simulators, long-time or new.
