Summary

A photographer enters the Great Pyramids to photograph Pharaoh Rudamon’s remains, but is soon overwhelmed by a sinister curse, as the ancient tomb awakens dark forces that claw at his sanity.

It’s about time someone created a decent experience set in the pyramids, which makes for a perfect premise for a horror game. The game's atmosphere is intense, eerie, and claustrophobic, and the queen's wails are deeply unsettling. Now, I can't help but wish for a similar experience set in the Paris Catacombs.

As an Egyptian, I'll explain many aspects of the game which some of you may have never heard of,
Ok so the name " Amenti " in ancient Egyptian language means "Land of the Dead" or " western land " which refers to afterlife .. this game mimic or simulate the curse of pharaohs, There was a rumor that ancient Egyptians used magic and sorcery to protect their tombs and possessions from being looted or stolen. It was believed that a spirit or ghost would guard the tombs or temples or the assets to keep them safe. This game attempts to simulate that concept.

and question is,
The Curse of the Pharaohs: Myth or Reality?

The "Curse of the Pharaohs" is one of the most mysterious and legendary concepts associated with ancient Egyptian civilization. The idea revolves around the belief that anyone who dares to open the tombs of the pharaohs or disturb their sacred possessions will be cursed, bringing bad luck, severe misfortune, illness, or even death.

Origin of the Concept
The idea gained prominence in the early 20th century with the discovery of King Tutankhamun’s tomb in 1922 by archaeologist Howard Carter. Following the opening of the tomb, a series of mysterious and unexplained deaths among the excavation team fueled the legend and tied it to the idea of a curse.

Famous Incidents Linked to the Curse
Lord Carnarvon:
The financier of Tutankhamun’s excavation died shortly after the tomb was opened due to a mysterious infection.

Deaths Among the Excavation Team:
Several members of the team succumbed to sudden illnesses or accidents.

The Case of King Farouk’s Plane:
Some even linked the crash of King Farouk’s plane in 1952 to the curse, as it was rumored to carry ancient artifacts.

Scientific Explanations
Bacteria and Fungi:
Tombs sealed for centuries can harbor dangerous bacteria and fungi, like toxic mold, which may cause infections or respiratory issues.

Toxic Gases:
Decomposing organic materials in the tombs can release harmful gases.

Psychological Influence:
Believers in the curse may experience severe stress or fear, leading to physical or mental health problems.

Is the Curse Real or a Myth?
Scientifically:
There is no concrete evidence to support the existence of a supernatural curse. Most incidents can be explained by natural causes or sheer coincidence.

Culturally:
Ancient Egyptians often inscribed warnings on tombs to deter grave robbers, such as:

"Death shall come on swift wings to those who disturb the peace of the King."

These were likely meant to intimidate intruders rather than invoke actual curses.

Who Does It Affect?
The "curse" is primarily linked to individuals who disturb tombs, but it’s largely a mythical concept fueled by fear and exaggerated accounts.

My review about the game : it was really short i didn't expect to beat it in a blink of an eye i didn't go through too much in this game, everything was short and quick+ i think the graphics are too pixelated even though my pc can run it on the highest settings without any issues, overall it was a good horror experience and real scary

Another walking sim horror game, but this one takes you into the depths of an ancient Egyptian tomb,a setting so unique it drags you in with its eerie charm.

And the jumpscares hit hard, like a gut punch you never see coming.

But it’s short, and progress can be a pain. You’ll get stuck clicking on specific objects to move forward, and taking photos demands a perfect camera angle, turning tension into frustration. A haunting experience, but not without its flaws.

Been waiting 20 years for a game like this.
I love Egypt, from the days of the mummy returns on ps2 to national geographic documentaries and movies based on Egyptian timeline.
Not a fan of AssCreed ones.
I always wanted a game that i imagined in my memory long time ago that Egyptian horror is peak.
This is the exploration I wanted, absolutely claustrophobic, creepiest sound design with Egyptian culture and mythologies that feels like a curse.
Mesmerizing horror adventure for like 2 hours, its a perfect dream i imagined as a teen and I want more like this coming from this studio.
The Story is also really good.

SKIP THE TRAILER.
