They seriously didn't to finish it thay way. It was utterly unnecessary to be that much dark and gloomy. Selfish and stupid, they seriously just went dark for the sake of it. It didn't make any sense and made the whole previous carrier plot pointless. Running for a goose chase for twenty and getting our hearts pierced and wrenched. Bad writing. Really bad writing
